Brief About Summit

The Southern Dairy Summit 2025, the maiden Regional Dairy Conference, is being organized by the Indian Dairy Association (South Zone) at NIMHANS Convention Centre, Bengaluru, from January 9 – 11, 2025. This three-day event will feature:

  • Summit comprises of Scientific presentations on Sustainable Dairy Production and Traditional Dairy Products – (Processing, Quality and Regulations) by eminent speakers.
  • Poster sessions related to these themes providing innovations and technical contributions.
  • An Expo with a limited number of stalls.
  • An Expo with a limited number of stalls.
  • Felicitation of the Best Women Awardees from the region on the last day of the summit.

The event is expected to attract participation from major dairies in the Southern Region and a significant number of SME dairy stakeholders and feed and feed additive manufacturers. The registration fee has been kept reasonable to encourage maximum participation.

The Zonal Executive Committee of the Indian Dairy Association (South Zone) is delighted to extend a warm and cordial invitation to all dairy and feed industry professionals to actively participate in the Southern Dairy Summit 2025. About IDA

Established in 1948, Indian Dairy Association (IDA) is the apex body of the dairy industry in India. The members are from the cooperatives, MNCs, corporate bodies, private institutions, educational institutions, government and public sector units. IDA functions very closely with the dairy producers, professionals & planners, scientists & educationists, institutions and organisations associated with the development of dairying in India. The IDA with a history of around six decades had the privilege of being headed by several Presidents of national and international fame. The luminaries like Sardar Datar Singh, Dr. K.C. Sen, Dr. Z.R. Kothawalla, Dr. D.N. Khurody, Dr. V. Kurien, Dr. P. Bhattacharya were the past presidents of the IDA.

IDA has been providing a common forum to knit the dairy fraternity together and thus, over the years, it has emerged as the reigning storehouse of information. The Association is managed by an apex policy making body called the Central Executive Committee (CEC). The CEC is headed by President and supported by two Vice-Presidents and 19 Executive Committee Members representing different stake holders from across the country.

The present CEC is spearheaded under the dynamic leadership of Dr. R.S. Sodhi, who has significantly contributed in making IDA a vibrant platform for dissemination of knowledge and as an important body for policy making in the dairy sector! Besides, the IDA, in the recent time, has also succeeded to focus itself at the international forum.

The IDA organises seminars, symposia and exhibitions on a wide range of topics catering to various segments of professionals, scientists, institutions and organisations associated with the development of dairying in India.

The IDA's Head Quarter is based in Delhi and the zonal branches are in Bangalore, Kolkata, Mumbai and Delhi. It has State Chapters at Anand (Gujarat), Thrissur (Kerala), Jaipur (Rajasthan), Chandigarh (Punjab), Patna (Bihar), Karnal (Haryana), Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh) and Eastern UP.

About the Venue
NIMHANS Convention Centre

The conference venue, NIMHANS Convention Centre is located on Hosur Road within the northern side of NIMHANS campus. Easily accessible from all parts of the city, the campus is around 40 km away from the Kempegowda International Airport and approximately 8 km from the Bengaluru City Railway Station and 7 km from Kempegowda Bus Station (or Majestic Bus Stand). Built in the year 2002, the state-of- the-art Convention Centre offers exceptional facilities for conferences, seminars, trade shows, expositions, and media events. The Centre houses three auditoriums with advanced amenities and seating capacities ranging from 170 to 860. The Centre also has well equipped dining hall, board room, guest rooms, poster area and ample parking facility.
